What's New?

An official patch has been released to improve network connectivity on CentOS 6 and CentOS 7 instances. For more information, see Fixing Network Connectivity Issues on CentOS 6 and CentOS 7 Instances.


  • Two new features are now available on Cockpit: 
  • Step-by-step instructions are now available to create and connect to your first instance. For more information, see Tutorial: Getting Started with the Outscale Cloud.

  • New official Outscale machine images (OMIs) are available for each Region, containing security patches for the Spectre and Meltdown vulnerabilities. For more information, see Official OMIs Reference

    - For instances created from an official CentOS 7 OMI after , you need to connect as the centos user.

    - For instances created from an official Ubuntu 14 and 16 OMI after , you need to connect as the ubuntu user.

    - For other Linux instances created from an official OMI, the user is root.

  • In the AssociateAddress method, the AllowReassociation attribute is now by default true in the public Cloud, and by default false in a VPC. For more information, see AssociateAddress.

  • In the CreateLoadBalancer method, the SecurityGroups.member.N attribute is now required to create a load balancer in a VPC. For more information, see CreateLoadBalancer.
